Diablo 3 BETA (Build 8610) server/client installation instructions.

1. Extract the .rar files.

2. Copy all the client files in "Diablo 3 BetaData_D3PCMPQs" to the server folder "Diablo 3AssetsMPQ"

3. Start "HellGateServer.exe" from the server folder.

4. To add an account write "!account add (email) (password) (nickname) owner"

5. Start D3Launcher.exe from the client folder and click "Local Battle.net"

6. Log in with the e-mail and password you made and enjoy.

Haven't got the quests to work properly
Cheack the ownedcore.com forums for updates.

The spells and items seem to work somewhat.
PS: The barbarian leap strike may make you able to jump outside the level.

I made this torrent so I'm fortunate to actually not needing to download the torrent, I've installed it and the server works fine.

When I start the D3Launcher and press Local Battle.net after 30 seconds an error message pops up saying "Locale specific files are missing or failed to connect to Agent. Please reinstall the Game!". What to do?

Got it to work by running Diablo III Beta launcher before D3Launcher. It updates the missing files, registry entries etc. But yeah, this version is not worth playing for gameplay. Rather to get basic idea of graphics, interface and controls...
